Ethyra isn’t for everyone. That’s intentional.
We’re building for teachers and teaching assistants who are buried in submissions and still care how the feedback reads. People grading essays, code, notebooks, handwriting, spreadsheets, and mixed work. People who know that “faster” only matters if the standard holds.
What we care about
If you want AI that auto-sends grades and clears the queue, we are not your product. Most teachers we talk to treat that as a non-starter, and we agree.
Ethyra is built the other way around: draft, review, release.
You bring the rubric, materials, and grading rules. Ethyra writes the first pass. You open the submission, see the work beside criterion-level scores and comments, edit what needs editing, and only then send it to students. Nothing goes out until you say so.
That review step isn’t a checkbox. It’s the product. The goal is a draft good enough that reviewing is quick, not a black box that asks you to trust a score you never checked.
